Description:    Microdiet (MD)™ dietary supplement is a low calorie diet formulated with proteins, fat, carbohydrates, food fibers, and a complete multivitamins. The products are formulated as either drinks (shakes) with all natural flavors of coca, coffee, milk tea, green tea, berry mix, banana, strawberry or soups with flavors of corn, potato, pumpkin, and curry. Each pack contains 50 grams and the details of the content is described below.

Microdiet (MD)™ was developed as a low calorie dietary supplement by Sunny Health in 1989, and has marketed for the past 16 years to help reduce weight for obesity. Since its inception, 70 million packets of Microdiet (MD)™ has been consumed by 1.1 million consumers to help reduce their body weights and has shown to be clinically safe and effective. **/**

Scientific Support:    A very low calorie diet (VLCD) was originally developed as a very low calorie diet (VLCD) for weight control by Dr. J. Stordy, University of Surrey, England in 1983 and subsequently, this low calorie diet was marketed in 40 different countries. Since 1989, Sunny Health in Japan, introduced Microdiet (MD)™ dietary supplement to control body weight and obesity. Sports Med. 15 (9):1047-1053, 1998; Yonei et al, Diagnosis and Therapy 92(4): 704-709, 2004). **/**   The study results demonstrated that when one or two normal meals are replaced with one or two packets of Microdiet (MD)™, body weights were significantly reduced without any severe side effects based on a variety of clinical parameters that were monitored simultaneously during the studies. Furthermore. Effectiveness of Microdiet (MD)™ in weight control in older age groups with age-related disease was aslo observed without compromising their respective therapy. No cases of severe side effects were observed in older age groups with age-related disease undergoing therapy. So far Microdiet (MD)™ has been used in more than 400 hospitals and clinical centers to control body weights and/or as a nutritional supplement in Japan.

Drink-formulation ingredients include Milk Protein, Soy Protein, Soy Peptide, Dextrose, Water Soluble Fibers, Skim Milk Powder, 6 different Natural Flavors of Cocoa Powder, Coffee, Milk Tea, Green Tea, Berry Mix, Banana, Strawberry as listed in Description), Vegetable Oil, Magnesium Carbonate, Calcium Carbonate, Yeast Powder, Malt Dextrin, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Caseinate, Tripostassium Citrate, Artificial flavor, Aspartame (Sweetener) **/* , Sodium L-Ascorbate, Vitamin E, Ferric Pyrophosphate, Vitamin A, Nicotinamide, Calcium Pantothenic Acid, Cyanocobalamin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Vitamin D, and Folic Acid.

Soup-formulation ingredients include Soy Protein, Milk Protein, Cane Sugar, Natural Flavor of Sweet Corn, Potato, Pumpkin, and Curry as listed in Description), Dextrin, Water Soluble Fibers, Skim Milk Powder, Vegetable Oil, Magnesium Carbonate, Calcium Carbonate Yeast Powder, Sodium Chloride, Onion, Butter Powder, Seasoning, Artificial Flavor, Sodium Caseinate, Tripostassium Citrate, Non-cooked Egg Shell Calcium, Gardenia Natural, Gelatinizing Agent, Sodium L-Ascorbate, Vitamin E, Ferric Pyrophosphate, Vitamin K2, Vitamin A, Nicotinamide, Calcium Pantothenic Acid, Cyanocobalamin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Vitamin D, and Folic Acid.

Directions for Use:    As a dietary supplement, take either 1 or 2 packets of drink-formulation or soup formulations of choice to substitute one or two meals per day. In case of drink type, 350 ml of portable water is poured into a shaker followed by adding 1 packet (50g pack) of Microdiet™ of choice and shake well before drink. In case of soup formulation, 1 packet of soup (49~52g) is placed into bowel, and followed by adding 250 ml (more or less) of hot water and stir until complete mixing. When taking this product, drink plenty of waters (1.5~2.0 liters) daily to promote normal bowel movement.

Safety:    Since 1989, Microdiet (MD)™ has been marketed as a low calorie diet to control body weight and has sold 170 million packets to approximately 1.1 million consumers and no cases of severe side effects have been reported by consumers since Microdiet (MD)™ was placed for consumers in Japan. Microdiet (MD)™ has been used in more than 400 hospitals and clinical centers to control body weights and as nutritional supplement. Furthermore, 19 clinical studies have been completed and no cases of severe side effects have been reported by either physicians or dieticians.

Warning:    Microdiet™ products should not be used more than recommended daily amount unless directed by a physician. In addition, consumers, who are allergic to any of the ingredients listed in the product description should be avoided or consult a physician. These products have not been evaluated in pregnant, breast feeding mothers or children under 17 years of age, or over 70 years age, patients of heart, kidney, liver, disease, or diabetes should consult a physician prior to use. How Supplied:    Drink formulation is supplied with 2 packets of each (50g) of 7 flavors, Cocoa, Coffee, Milk Tea, Green Tea, Berry Mix, Banana, and Strawberry and total of per 14 packets per box. or 14 packets of any of the 7 flavors of choice per box.. Soup formulation is supplied with 4 packets of each (49-52g) of corn, and potatoes flavors and 3 packets of pumpkin, and curry flavors per box. or 14 packets of any single flavor of choice per box. All products should be kept at room temperature and avoid direct heat or any sunlight.
