  • Triaminic Sore Throat Spray (Novartis Consumer)

    Drug Facts

    Active Ingredient:     Purpose:

    Phenol, 0.5%   Anesthetic/Analgesic

    Uses:    temporarily relieves:

    • sore mouth
    • minor irritation or injury of the mouth and gums
    • pain due to minor dental procedures, or orthodontic appliances
    • pain associated with canker sores
    • sore throat pain

    Warnings:

    When using this product

    • do not use more than directed

    Stop use and ask a doctor if

    • sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days or is accompanied by difficulty in breathing.
    • sore throat is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, swelling, nausea or vomiting.
    • sore mouth symptoms do not improve within 7 days or irritation, pain or redness persists or worsens. These could be signs of a serious condition.

    Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.

    Directions:    Triaminic Sore Throat Spray may be used every 2 hours or as directed by a dentist or physician.

    Children 2 to under 12 years of age
    (with adult supervision):
    For each application, spray up to 5 times into the throat or affected area.
    Children under 2 years of age:
    ask a physician or dentist.

    Other Information:

    • contains no aspirin, no alcohol or sugar
    • store at controlled room temperature 20-25°C (68-77°F)

    Inactive Ingredients:    FD&C Blue 1, FD&C Red 40, flavors, glycerin, purified water, sodium saccharin, sorbitol
