    Drug Facts:

    ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

    (per 5 ml teaspoon) Purpose:

    Acetaminophen
      162.5 mgPain reliever/fever reducer

    Chlorpheniramine maleate
      1 mgAntihistamine

    Dextromethorphan HBr
      7.5 mgCough suppressant

    Pseudoephedrine HCl
      15 mgNasal decongestant

    USES

    Temporarily relieves cough/cold/flu symptoms

    • cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation
    • sneezing
    • headache
    • sore throat
    • fever
    • runny nose
    • nasal congestion

    WARNINGS

    Failure to follow these warnings could result in serious consequences.

    Alcohol warning If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage.

    Sore throat warning If sore throat is severe, persists more than two days, is accompanied or followed by a fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.

    Do not use · with other medicines containing acetaminophen · if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.

    Ask a doctor before use if you have:

    • heart disease
    • a breathing problem or chronic cough that lasts or as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema
    • thyroid disease
    • diabetes
    • glaucoma
    • high blood pressure
    • cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus)
    • trouble urinating due to enlarged prostate gland

    Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers.

    When using this product:

    • do not use more than directed
    • excitability may occur, especially in children
    • drowsiness may occur
    • avoid alcoholic drinks
    • be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery
    • alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness

    Stop use and ask a doctor if:

    • you get nervous, dizzy or sleepless
    • fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days
    • new symptoms occur
    • redness or swelling is present
    • symptoms do not get better within 7 days or are accompanied by fever
    • cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache that lasts.
      These could be signs of a serious condition.

    If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

    Keep out of reach of children.

    Overdose Warning:    Taking more than recommended dose can cause serious health problems. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.

    DIRECTIONS

    • take only as recommended--see Overdose Warning
    • use teaspoon or dose cup
    • do not exceed 4 doses per 24 hours
    • children 12 and under: ask a doctor.
    • 12 yrs. & older: take 4 teaspoons (20 ml) every 6 hours.

    OTHER INFORMATION

    • each teaspoon contains sodium 8 mg
    • store at room temperature

    INACTIVE INGREDIENTS

    Alcohol, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, citric acid, FD&C blue 1, FD&C red 40, flavor, high fructose corn syrup, polyethylene glycol, polyethylene oxide, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium citrate.

    HOW SUPPLIED

    Available in 4 FL OZ (118 ml) 6 FL OZ (177 ml) and 8 FL OZ (236 ml) plastic bottles. A calibrated dose cup accompanies each bottle.

    TAMPER EVIDENT: Do not use if imprinted shrinkband is missing or broken.

    Not recommended for children.
